what materials do you use to make your ceramics?

all of my ceramics are wheel-thrown and hand-painted by me @dgaf.studio. they are made of stoneware clay and fired at high temperatures (1800°F and 2200°F). as all pieces are handmade, they may have slight variations from one another!

are your ceramics food safe?

yes! my ceramics are food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe unless they are marked otherwise! (e.g. for seconds with cracks and/or glaze imperfections)

how do i care for my pieces?

for the longevity of your ceramic pieces, even though they are dishwasher safe, i recommend hand washing whenever possible. please avoid sudden temperature changes which can sometimes cause cracking. store in a cool, dry place. do not put ceramics in the oven or on the stove!

if you purchased a "second" from me irl, do not use it for food or beverages. these just for holding things like trinkets and jewelry.

what is the firing process for your pieces?

i fire my clay at cone 5 (2200°F) in an electric kiln at my community studio!

 

shipping

how long does shipping take?

all orders are shipped out via usps ground advantage within 1-5 business days! for sticker-only orders, they'll be shipped untracked via stamped snail mail. once shipped, your order should arrive within 2-10 business days.

what are your shipping costs?

shipping is calculated directly by shopify and i do not make any money from shipping. this price reflects the cost of a usps label plus packaging! sticker-only orders will be shipped for free.

do you ship internationally?

i only offer shipping in the us for now!

my package was stolen / lost by usps!

by placing an order you agree that any lost, stolen, or incorrectly addressed packages are not my responsibility. once shipped, your order is out of my control >o< if your package gets stolen or lost, you'll need to file a claim with usps. depending on the item, i *might* be able to send you a replacement. i can't offer replacements or refunds on ceramics since they take me so long to make, and i'm just a one-person business.

*note* sometimes, usps will mark packages as delivered before they actually arrive. if this happens, wait to see if it shows up within a couple days or otherwise contact your local post office.

i put the wrong address on my order!

make sure to double-check your shipping address before placing your order. in the event that a package gets sent back to me, you can you pay for shipping again so i can reship your order.

what is your return policy?

all sales are final unless the order you received was incorrectly packaged or damaged. otherwise, i don't offer any returns, refunds, exchanges, or cancellations - so please be careful when placing your order! if there is a problem with your order, please send me an email at info@dgafstudio.com!
